WebOct 29, 2013 · In host range experiments, phage ϕD5 expressed the broadest host range, infecting members of all Dickeya spp., and phage ϕD7 showed the narrowest host range, infecting isolates of Dickeya dadantii and ‘D. solani’ only. None of the phages was able to infect Pectobacterium spp. isolates. WebPectobacterium parmentieri is a Gram-negative plant-pathogenic bacterium able to infect potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). WebSep 10, 2024 · Fecal samples of cubs and adults of giant pandas were examined to determine the effects of diets on the diversity and dynamics of gut bacteriophages. Enterobacteria phage, Salmonella phage, Escherichia phage, Shigella phage, Klebsiella phage, and Lactococcus phage were found to be dominant in both cub and adult samples. Dickeya is a genus of the family Pectobacteriaceae that consists mainly of pathogens from herbaceous plants. Dickeya is the result of the reclassification of 75 strains of Pectobacterium chrysanthemi, as well as Brenneria paradisiaca CFBP 4178, into a new genus. The genus is named for American phytopathologist Robert S. Dickey. Several species in this genus, such as Dickeya dadantii, are known phytopathogens.
